Exams over, back to DA, SUPERNOVA, SMASH & oth
TiredSorry I've been away for so long! 300 missed messages and 508 deviations to catch up on. But I'll do my best!
Exams are now officially over! YAY! So happy and such a relief to not worry.
Bad news: laptop broke down and old comp doesn't work any more. Just relying on my sister's laptop when shes not using it so might take a while to reply, comment and come up with new art, but I"ll see what I can do ^_^
Went SUPERNOVA last week! First time I ever went that the anime/sci fi convention since in the past it was always held during university exam period. Was pretty awesome. Some absolutely amazing costumes!
Oerall though, as fr as conventions are concerned, I must admit, I enjoy SMASH more. it's smaller and more cosy. lso, every time there are three things minimum going on to take part in and the rooms don't get so crowded you need to arrive at least half an hour early to make sure you can get in
.But sci-fi is cool so it was great to see my two loves meshed together.
SMASH preperations for Akatsuki cosplay are a go! We bought the wigs needed, have done half of the shoes, got the blue pants for all cosplayers and going on Sunday to work on the cloaks some more and discuss our group skit. Definitly looking forward to it
Lately been obsessed with the DS game: Puzzle quest.That game is too addictive...
Wisdom teeth are coming out next week. All four in one go. Means a week off work and from what everyone tells me, a world of pain. On plus side, might be a great chance to catch up on art when I'm not zonned out.
And on news on art, got my first commission ever! From one of my fave lecturers of all people
. He noticed I draw in all his classes but is cool with it and when went to collect my assignments during exam time, asked if he could commission me and gave me details of what he wanted. I was so stunned! 
But can't wait to start working on it. It's a pretty cool composition
Also, finished a design for a robot company in America. Was a freebie work since they are supporting our Robot Wars competition at university. In the end though, the free commission took wayy longer than I expected. But apparently their t-shirt sales went well with my design and they will be sending over some of the t-shirts so can't wait to see how it turned out! May post a photo of it when I get it.
Hmm think thats all the news I have. Went back to work now that its holidays and so tired so believe I'll end it here. If you have somehow managed to keep reading this journal up to this point without zoning out, you have my respect
